Mike Salter works for AB Agri as an
innovation scientist seeking out ideas and potential product solutions for all
6 AB Agri business units. In this role he engages with Academic Institutions,
Research Institutes and other businesses, usually SMEs. Mike is particularly
engaged in understanding the gut microbiome in the context of commercial
livestock production and is working on strategies to reduce the impact of
removal of anti-microbials from commercial livestock systems.
Prior to AB Agri, Mike spent 20 years in academic research, is a specialist
molecular biologist, and was a founding member of a Synthetic Biology team for
a major chemical company.
