Saliva Diagnostics and Exosomes


Ulrike Kegler is currently working as a PhD student at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in the research group Molecular Diagnostics which she joined in 2015. Ulrike has been studying Molecular Biotechnology at the Applied University FH campus Vienna where she graduated with a master degree. Right now she is working in the saliva diagnostics field, where she set up the sampling and downstream analysis of saliva. The main part of Ulrike’s PhD project is dedicated to the discovery of non invasive salivary biomarkers for early diagnostics of type 2 diabetes, a research effort which is funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
