Dr Justin Buckland

New TTP Techonolgy for Ultra-Fast PCR for Point-of-Care (POC) Molecular Diagnostics

Dr Justin Buckland leads the development of TTP’s ultra-fast thermal cycling technology for low energy extreme PCR. He has a first degree and PhD in physics from Cambridge University and over 20 years of technology development experience at TTP. His technical expertise includes advanced thermal sensors and control systems, ultrasonic transducers and sensors, and multiphysics-based analysis and optimisation of biosensors. At TTP he has lead projects to develop and deliver blood glucose sensor design simulation and manufacturing process improvement, ultrasonic micropumps for portable medical devices, ultra-sensitive high-speed capacitive sensing, and instrumentation for molecular diagnostics.
